Live Scan Fingerprinting

What is Live Scan Fingerprinting?

Global works with the latest in Live Scan Fingerprinting equipment and technology to provide high quality services for our customers.

Live scan fingerprinting is the process of capturing fingerprints electronically. With live scan fingerprinting there is no ink or card. Your fingerprints are “rolled” across a glass plate and scanned. It is faster, cleaner, and more accurate than the old ink and roll method.  This method captures all required criminal history information on behalf of Federal government, state, and local agencies, as well as licensing requirements for private individuals.

Global has been authorized and certified through the State of Maryland and the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) to electronically transmit State and Federal criminal background record requests to the Central Repository.

Drug Screening

Why do Employers Drug Test?

Most importantly to maintain productivity and for the safety of all employees in the workplace. According to the Federal government, drug and alcohol use takes a toll on the American workplace. Problems relating to drug and alcohol abuse has cost over $80 billion in lost productivity in a single year. Employees who use drugs are three times more likely to be late to work, more than three-and-a-half times more likely to be involved in a workplace accident, and five times more likely to file a workers' compensation claim. Drug screening is the type of proactivity that can avoid legal liability. If an intoxicated employee harms someone on the job, the employer could be legally liable for those injuries. Workplace drug and alcohol use may also violate OSHA and state occupational safety laws.
